The Personnel Board is charged with advising the Board of Selectmen and Town officials on employee-related issues. The Personnel Board works closely with the Personnel Director and with other departments and officials as needed.
Work completed in 2001 by the Town’s Personnel Department reduced the traditional scope of responsibilities of the Personnel Board. Therefore, in late 2001 and 2002 the Personnel Board began working with the Board of Selectmen and the Town Administrator to redefine the Board’s responsibilities. This work is expected to be completed in 2003.
