The Athletic Field Study Committee was established by the Board of Selectmen as an advisory body to study the needs that currently exist for additional field space in the Town and to make recommendations to the Board of Selectmen on how to best address this need.
The committee has been meeting since October of 2000. In our search for space we have been evaluating many new sites around Town, as well as reviewing existing sites for consideration by our committee. In addition, we are investigating sources of funding, including grants and private donations, to fund the project. The town needs more field space for the citizens, and the committee is committed to help research, identify, and report our findings with recommendations to the Selectmen with estimated costs as well as independent consulting services to move the projects ahead in the year 2003 and beyond.
