This is the course you need!
This course will teach you water safety, including the Basic Water Rescue Course, six levels of learn to swim and Parent and Child Aquatics.
You must be at least 16 yrs old by the end of the course and possess a Fundamentals of Instructor Training (FIT) certificate
Successful completion of a pre-course session consisting of test of water safety and swimming skills and knowledge.
Fit Training:
FIT-Fundamentals of Instructor Training is something all instructors for the Red Cross must take. We do it the first day, prior to beginning the content for Water Safety Instruction. It is no extra cost and built in. All who pass this part of the exam will receive a card certifying them. This is a requirement of the Red Cross. It is mostly background information on the Red Cross so that we, as instructors, represent them well.
