A Recreation Dept. Membership is required for participation in this program.
At no cost to you, the Department will register all skaters with the United Figure Skating Assn. You will receive a membership packet either by mail or at the rink during your session of lessons. USFSA info

Registration Begins: September 6,2011
Fee: $100. per session plus a 2011-2012 school year membership
Dates:
Session 1: November 6, 13, 20, 27, Dec. 4, 11, 18
Session 2: January 8, 15, 22, 29, Fe. 5, 12, 19
Class schedule consists of 30 minutes of on ice lesson and 30 minutes of practice time. If you would like some extra help you should ask the instructor during the last 30 minutes.
Beginner Lessons: Sunday 4:30-5:30 p.m.
These lessons offer a fun environment for beginners up to Basic badge 5
Advanced Skating, Figure & Freestyle Lessons 5:30-6:30 p.m.
For those who have passed Basic 4 in the U.S.F.S.A. Skate with US Program. If entering Basic 5, strong forward crossovers, three turns, forward edges (curves on one foot) both directions and strong forward stroking. Starting on Basic 5 you will begin to learn the more advanced elements of the sport including backward stroking, backward crossovers, footwork, edges, turns, jumps and spins.
These classes consist of 30 minutes of instruction and 30 minutes of individual practice time or extra help.
