Green Acres Invoice # 7 $119,027.32
Period to June 2, 2006
On a motion by Alex seconded by Karen the committee approved the invoice.
On a motion by Karen, seconded by Alex the minutes for May 24, 2006 were approved.
For clarification of the May 10 meeting, Ellen once again presented a change order for $575 to remove one large tree in poor condition. On a motion by Karen seconded by Alex the committee approved the Change Order.
Ellen shared a formal request from Joe Barbosa of Green Acres Landscape & Construction for a time extension for the project to September 1, 2006. He sites time taken to resolve the issue of additional ledge situation and the necessity of mobilizing specialized equipment. On a motion by Karen, seconded by Alex, the committee approved the extension.
A new design for the well cap has been proposed by Mistry Associates. The intention is to access the well water for irrigation and reduce the level of water to be retained on site. A return wall will be extended around the well area and it will house an underground pump station.
Ellen reported that she had confirmed that our contractor and architect have adequate insurance policies in answer to a question from Don Levitt.
Additional telecom user applications are being received. Additional work is required at the site. The need to create a buffer area, provide landscaping and put in a gate that is as similar as possible to the cemetery entrance gate. Ellen is concerned that this work has not yet started landscaping and she anticipates that there may be a conflict when we are ready to finish the entry road. She does not want heavy equipment needed to bring in the landscaping materials to damage the road surface. She also noted that the Land Management committee has voted to postpone planting until the Fall. The Highland Meadow committee feels that it should commence soon to avoid conflict. Ellen is coordinating with Tom Younger.
The Conservation Commission has voted to extend the current Order of Conditions relating to installing survey points to mark the line between the Cemetery owned land and the Open Space. She will try to get a copy of the order.
Ellen also shared her concern about the seed mix to be used in the woodland area. The committee agreed that it should be a woodland shade mix and Ellen will check with the New England Wild Flower Society to see if they have a recommendation.
The committee reviewed the latest schedule that has been submitted and noted a number of errors and omissions to include:
· Survey work
· Corner stakes
· Selective pruning
· Water meter Pit – need to install meter and pressure regulator
· Electrical conduit to site
· Compacting done in March or April – not February
· Binder done in April
· Top seal date?
· Walls – end of July/ Are they currently on track for completion
· Earth Work – Meadow okay but Orchard not done. Question on placeCityWoodland
· Need on-site meetings scheduled bi-weekly. Also need minutes
· Landscaping – raking & seeding. Soil testing number one priority
· Trees & shrubs – Halvorson should be on site for planting supervision
· Wood Chip Path eliminated – Credit?
· Front Gate date
· Ground cover seeding for each area separately
· Well Capping
· Final grading and seeding of the Depression
· Rock removal – February 24
· Installation of protection on slopes
· Current schedule of cash flow
· Wood for fence and gate
Ellen also questioned when the markers were to be installed. If there is a delay until September the area needs to be protected with jute messing.
Ellen also commented that sometime as we near completion Halvorson should check the boulders at the transfer site that might be used as path markers.
On a motion by Karen seconded by Alex, the committee adjourned at 2:30 PM
Respectfully submitted,
Karen Pressey, Secretary
