Committee Members Attending: Ellen Cushman O’Brien, Alex Corbett, Charles Johnson, and Karen Pressey
Also Attending: Peter Castanino, Director of Public Works and Lucille Kooyoomijian, Business Manager of Belmont Day School.
The Committee listened to a request by the Day School to remove the path that borders their property from our plans and to move the stone wall being proposed to the property line of the Belmont Day School as proposed in her letter to Ellen. (See Attached)
Ellen indicated that she had discussed this proposal with Liz Allison who, with her husband, chairs the neighborhood committee. Liz said she passed the information on to other neighbors and there has been no response.
The committee felt that the Belmont Day School articulated compelling information about their concern for the safety of the children and since no neighbors voiced a complaint about the proposal and since it would be cost neutral that this proposal would be the prudent course to follow.
On a motion by Alex, seconded by Karen, the committee voted unanimously to remove the path from our plans and to extend the wall to the Belmont Day School property line.
On a motion by Alex, seconded by Karen, the committee voted unanimously to approve the minutes for the following meetings:
July 15, 2005
July 20, 2005
October 18, 2005
On motions by Alex, seconded by Karen, the committee voted unanimously to approve the following payments:
· Invoice from Green Acres Payment #1: $130,316.12
$68,058.74 of the $137,174.86 bill was retained for work yet to be completed
· Invoices from Halvorson for:
November 21, 2005 $1616.47
August 3, 2005, September 30, 2005 and October 30, 2005 $4,890.91
The meeting adjourned at about 10:20 AM.
